I am a collector of vintage images, illustrations and a creator of collages.  I collect old photos, postcards, comic books, images and illustrations from old and forgotten books and vintage ephemera. I started making collages with these materials and have found it rewarding and challenging. Collage (traditional and digital) lends itself to improvisation, spontaneity and the unexpected discovery. I begin with no final product in mind but put something down and respond to the materials, try to find images that resonate with each other. I have always been drawn to the surrealistic, the poetic image and the dreamlike with a sense of playfulness showing through occasionally, and I hope these qualities come through in my collages. 

Thomas Terceira is a craftsman and a designer. He has shown his jewelry, enamels and collages nationally and internationally. He has been creating collaged  art work for many years. His collage works have been featured in Rattle March 2016 Ekphrastic challenge, Drowning Gull, Foliate Oak Literary Journal.
