“I have been working in Encaustic (melted wax and resin) for about 5 years or so and have been showing in galleries, wineries, wellness spas and cooperatives...each time I have honed my skills by continuing with art classes in San Diego, Portland and Seattle. I am working on studying the world of natural subject matter in my painting and into the world of micro organisms...the affects of climate change and exploring the inter-dependence and delicate balancing act we share with nature.”

Penelope Novak an artist living in north county San Diego in the small town of Vista. She has been involved in art in one way or another for 30 plus years. She received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Art/Art History and went on to sell and represent Fine Art in Los Angeles and Portland; ran a Custom Picture Framing business for many years and finally started to resume taking art classes and photography when the timing seemed right.
